We’ve completely redesigned the app. It's simpler, more intuitive, and, dare we say... magical.
It's been quite a long pause without updates, we know. Creating anything worthwhile is a long journey, so thanks for sticking around – your support means the world to us.
Instead of trickling out small updates, we've been heads-down, completely redesigning Mindsera based on your feedback. The result? An app that's simpler, more intuitive, and dare we say... magical.
Every corner of the app has been redesigned, creating a space where your inner voice takes center stage, rather than it being just another AI chatbot.
Freedom and privacy of thought are non-negotiable to us. Your writing is fully encrypted, both at rest and in transit. As an independent company, we answer to you - our users - and no one else. This lets us grow thoughtfully, ensuring our values shine through in everything we build.
We remain committed to our core values, and we believe in a human-centric AI that enhances your mind, but doesn't try to replace it. Your thoughts, your creativity, your life should and will be the centrepiece.
Every time you open Mindsera, you're greeted with prompts crafted from your previous journaling entries. Click on a prompt, start with a blank entry, or kick off a voice entry.
There are also two frameworks available to help you start or end your day. Simply swipe down or click the arrow at the bottom of the screen.
While these frameworks come with a set of pre-selected questions, we understand that sometimes you need more flexibility. That's why you can easily customize the frameworks by changing, adding, or removing questions as needed. There is also an option to add 'smart questions' for more variability.
Just click on the cog icon (⚙️) to open the edit panel.
We've torn down walls, integrating everything into one seamless experience. No more separate writing and copilot panels.
Click for custom questions based on what you've written, similar to the "Infinite prompts" in the first version. This helps you to dig deeper in your thinking.
We’re genuinely excited to bring this to you! It's a completely new type of interface where your thoughts are the centerpiece, and AI works in the background while you write. Minds scan your writing and leave personalized and insightful comments.
Imagine you've written a document and you share it with a bunch of people, they highlight parts and leave insightful comments for you. It's the same but with AI minds.
Enable or disable Minds anytime, or create your own. A Mind can imitate your favorite author, an industry expert, or a renowned philosopher—the only limit is your imagination. My favorite? 'Past Memories,' which connects your current thoughts to previous ones, and 'Stoic Mindset,' which helps build mental resilience.
You can also make a paragraph active and ask any question about it, or apply a mind to it similar to the Thought Analysis in the first Mindsera version.
Also, all mind chats are saved, so you can come back to them at any time. No need to worry about losing chats anymore.
After you're done with writing, click “Finish entry” next to the “Go deeper” button.
You'll get three things:
You can now edit entries after analysis—a small update with a big impact. Add more content, chat with Minds, or re-analyze entries whenever you want.
Change metadata, such as tags or creation date. View word count and writing time under metadata.
We have updated the framework writing view and temporarily removed the interactive mode. It's coming back soon, completely rebuilt to act more like a superhuman coach.
Under the frameworks list, you can now use natural language to search and get framework recommendations.
This is the part we’re most excited about! It provides long-term insights to find connections between thoughts, emotions, and more. Feels like magic!
A quick overview of your stats and a calendar, so you can visually see the days you've journaled. Great for habit building.
This is a big feature! You can pick any timeframe (even your whole journal) and see all the emotions detected in that timeframe as bubbles. Each bubble represents one emotion and shows how many entries this emotion was detected in.
Click on a bubble to get a detailed overview of the topics and thoughts that caused that emotion. You can also see all the entries where the emotion was detected or ask questions about it. Play around with it to experience the magic.
The personality analysis is based on the Big Five personality model, one of the most widely used and scientifically supported personality models. You can pick any timeframe. Hover over the card to see a detailed overview.
On the right side, you can get an overview of your thought patterns for any timeframe. Click on the arrow for more details.
Get six personalized suggestions based on your chosen timeframe. Hover for more details.
Imagine ChatGPT, but with your whole journal as context. Pick any timeframe and ask any question about your journal. It feels like magic, and we're going to make it even better in the coming months.
Enhanced Voice Mode
All your recordings are securely backed up as you speak. Even in the event of an error, your voice entries will be automatically transcribed and added to your journal.
You can also choose your preferred language, add specific words or names for greater accuracy, and select your transcription style. You can update these options anytime in your Account Settings.
Improved Entries View
There are now two ways to view your entries—grid and list—along with enhanced sorting and search options by entry type, date, tags, or detected emotions.
Advances Entries Search
You can search entries based on meaning. Simply write in natural language, and Mindsera will find what you’re looking for.
Customize Artworks
Under Settings, personalize artworks by selecting your gender, ethnicity, and age. You can update these options anytime in Account Settings.
Smaller Improvement
Countless minor bug fixes and usability enhancements. We've rebuilt the import feature and added new, requested migration options. Also, there's a new 7-Day Journaling Challenge.
In November, we will be working on the following:
In December and onwards:
There's a bunch of other things as well, but we can't share those yet—you'd think we're crazy!
Please let us know if you encounter any bugs or have feedback. You can quickly send us your feedback by clicking the account icon and selecting 'Send feedback'.
Thank you, and we hope you enjoy your new journaling experience!
